A couple of weeks ago we went to Brent's class reunion in San Antonio. We had a great time with some friends and enjoyed our time away (which for me was only one night)!

You know your baby loves you when....

 

She will kiss your boo boo, blood and all!!!
I bit the side of my lip and she wanted to kiss it despite the blood.
It left blood on her lips, but she did not mind! What a sweetie!

Caroline's introduction to Jesus!

We decided this week that it was time for us to go back to church. You may ask, "Why did you stop?"
I am glad you asked! Due to attachment, it is not recommended to drop off your child with strangers for any length of time. Especially because of her orphanage background, we wanted to make sure she was adjusting well and ready for this new adventure.
Well, I am happy to report that she did awesome with not one incident. She is just incredible and adapts easily to everything we throw her way!

This look was taught to her by Avery and her cousin Amberly! What a hoot! Savannah makes this face also! It gets a chuckle from everyone each and every time!

What a difference 3 months can make...

 

The first picture is Caroline's Russian passport photo (taken in March)and the second photo is for her US passport taken yesterday. Look how her face has filled out! She almost looks like a different child!
She is doing fabulous and seems to be really enjoying her new life!
Her sleeping has gotten MUCH better and she no longer cries when she wakes up. She also takes longer naps.
Life is finally getting back to "normal";or as normal as it can be with 4 young kids. Hectic but normal! :)

Caroline and Savannah are 15 months apart and compete for my attention.
It can be overwhelming as I can not hold them both for very long.
Ah, the joys of motherhood!

Visiting Nene and Grandad's in Tennessee!

After a long 8 hour drive, we arrived to Nene and Grandad's on Monday. The kids have been having a blast playing with their cousins Alex and Amberly. Grandad helped Avery find a bird's nest but have found no frog's yet. :(
Caroline is having fun with 2+ acres to run around on! This is her first big trip away from home and she is doing fantastic! Thank goodness!
