The best for last. . .

We started our day rather early. Quite the feat for my fam as we are not naturally early risers.

We were some of the first people at Epcot that morning. The ride section was still closed, but that was ok because we were headed to Norway for breakfast with the princesses.

DSC_0371

Everyone was feeling well and in good spirits..

Belle greeted everyone at the door with a picture. Brent the girls were smitten. ;)

Here’s whole gang waiting on the princesses to reach our table.

The girls LOVED it! They got autographs, pictures, the whole 9 yards.

The princesses REALLY stayed in character. They would princess “pose” with some of the pictures. For instance, they would cock their head a certain way or pose their hand in an odd manner (like Aurora in the bottom right). The gal who did Snow White spoke in octaves so high that the local dogs must have been writhing in pain.

When we left our breakfast, the park was still quite empty. Which is what prompted these next silly shots.

DSC_0432

Silly but I love them. Some of my favorite shots from the whole week.

We searched forever for soft serve ice cream. That was our lunch that day.

If you have never been to Epcot, part of the park are countries from around the world. There is England, France, Mexico, Germany, Japan, China, etc..  It was VERY neat. I could have spent the whole day in that section. So much fun and so authentic!

DSC_0450   We loved being in Germany! Brent and I lived there for 3 years when we first got married. It really felt like we were there again.

The characters were hanging out in the countries they were from. Mary Poppins in England and the Beast in France.

My goofball.

That night we dined in an aquarium. It was so cool watching the sharks swim by!!!

IMG_1795

The kids were there too, just at the table next to us.

IMG_1791  Hope is so stinkin’ cute and VERY sweet. She is like a fragile doll. She and Caroline are like ying and yang. Opposites in every way imaginable except their cuteness.

IMG_1800

After dinner I took the girls to get pictures and autographs with more characters. We waited about 25 minutes or so… I think that is supposed to be good. :-0

We ended our night once again with fireworks. We opened the park and closed the park…we were exhausted.

The Walden’s showed us such a great time at Disney. We will be forever grateful for that. I am quite certain my children will never forget that week.

The picture above is on the plane. We came mighty close to missing that plane when my hubby accidently took the wrong turn in 5 o’clock traffic that sent us on a 55 minute detour around some bridge in Tampa. Oy vey! After the initial freak out, we found another way to the airport and raced traffic and time narrowly making our plane. What an “exciting” way to end our fabulous vacation. Lol! Brent says he will never fly in to Tampa again….that’ll show ‘em.

The End!!!

Hollywood Studios. . .

This is the cell phone picture I sent to our family to let them know how Savannah was feeling that day…

WP_000795

Savannah was feeling sooo much better. Lucky for her Kellie had ear infection medicine WITH her. Hope was just getting over an infection and Kellie had the ear drops AND the oral antibiotics with her in Orlando. We dosed Savannah up good the night before and that morning. We were so relieved when she was feeling better, though Brent was ready to stay with her in the hotel if she was not.

DSC_0357Believe it or not, Savannah was the dare devil of my 3 girls. Savannah wanted to go with me on the Tower of Terror. I normally hate the rides that just “drop” you. I despise that weird feeling in my stomach. But I figured that I would do it anyway because we were in Disney. And yes, I am well aware that Savannah looks like the brave one between the 2 of us in this shot. My favorite expression of all though is Jackson’s. Priceless!!!!! Lol!

DSC_0346We left the park early so the kids could go back and swim at the hotel pool. The weather was in the 80’s so it was perfect.

IMG_1755

Obviously Nana was devastated that she could not swim because of her ear. She happily hung out with me for a bit but eventually got upset  watching the other kids swim and having so much fun and she started to cry.

IMG_1745 Kellie was so sweet and took Savannah to a gift shop in the hotel and bought her some candy and a stuffed Pluto…her favorite.

IMG_1757

It worked, she perked up!

That night the guys picked up pizza and we dined at the tree houses.

The following day was the Walden’s favorite park, which they could not wait to show us….Epcot!

Magic Kingdom. . .

On Tuesday, February 14th, we spent the day at Magic Kingdom.

DSC_0218 This might have been the rest of my families first time here, but this was not MY first rodeo folks. I had indeed occupied the streets of Disney World once before.

Check out those outfits people…circa 1973. Groovy! (I am the one wearing the Marcia Brady dress on the right.)

As I was saying, it was Valentine’s Day and my girls had a date at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to get their princess makeovers. It was nestled in the center of the Disney castle. Very quaint and decorated like a REAL royal beauty shop. Just adorable.

Savannah wanted to be Cinderella, Caroline loves Belle and Hope wanted to be Sleeping Beauty. Avery Grace did not want to be any particular princess, but still wanted to have a makeover.

Here are the girls as they waited to be called back. Doesn’t Savannah look weary? She had started to not feel well the night before. She was trying very hard to put on a happy face.

DSC_0231

Avery was called back first. Caroline was chomping at the bit for her turn.

When Savannah spotted her dad she broke down. She was feeling worse and worse as the day went on. Because she had mentioned her ears the night before, we figured she had an ear infection. What were the chances of THAT? Of all the days in the year.

DSC_0267  Don’t worry though, her daddy carried her around and made his little Nana as comfortable as he could.

DSC_0271

Meanwhile, the other kids had a ball…

The whole happy gang!

DSC_0323 Love was in the air that Valentine’s Day…

IMG_1705

IMG_1709 We ate at Tony’s Restaurant that night. As in, the Lady and the Tramp. Quite fitting for Valentine’s Day. Kellie and Vince did the spaghetti kiss, but alas, I do not have a picture of it.

DSC_0327

While waiting on our table, Jackson and Katelyn did some double jump roping outside.

DSC_0331

Savannah slept through the entire dinner. Poor baby.

WP_000793

Avery loved her Lady and the Tramp dessert. She even added her own “special” touch to it. Turkey!

After dinner it was time for the closing fireworks.

IMG_1731 The kids LOVED it!!!!

It was time to go home and get some sleep because the next day we were going to….
