My latest obsession. . .

I got my first  iPhone recently.

Yep! I am slow. The 5 is my first.

My first day with Siri had me a tad flustered. In response I had her address me as Princess Amy. Somehow that made it all better.

photo One of the more exciting parts about getting the phone was getting on Instagram. My other phone did not have the app. This is sooo up my ally. Cute pictures with a one sentence description? Wellllll, that just happens to be my specialty!  ;-)

A slice of Americana. . .

I love the 4th of July. It is such a happy, carefree holiday. No gifts, no traveling, no stress. Just good ol’ summer fun celebrating this country that I adore with family and friends.

In Texas, everything revolves around the pool due to the heat.

You can imagine our surprise when we looked over in the middle of the fireworks and saw the girls weaving and making “gods eyes”. Huh?

DSC_0081 The fireworks went on for a good while.

Afterwards we went home and let the kids play with Sparklers.

Time to celebrate. . .

. . .celebrate the good ol’ US of A that is. The land of the free, home of the brave. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

I know I am not the only one to dress my kids up like coordinating “Old Glory’s”, right?

Nonetheless, they look precious to their doting mama.

DSC_0009

We spent this day of celebration with our friends the Walden’s. Yes, those same ones that reside in Walleyworld.

Awww…look at the two Russian princesses.
