I do not know what my deal is lately, but I can not stop eating.
The 15 pounds I lost during our long and torturous adoption experience is slipping back on.
Darn all of those cakes and cookies!
My "skinny" jeans are giving me muffin top.
My stomach screams for mercy when I wear my jeans out.
And WHAT time of year is stalking me around the corner?
Smirking every time I shove my mouth full of gluttonous crap?
Swim suit season. Gulp!
I have never been much of a bathing suit person, but you can forget it now.
Flabby and white is NOT a good combo.
Sigh....

Time to cut out the sugar.
Time to cut out the carbs.
Time to.........exercise??? GASP!!
(Don't worry, that will be my last resort.)
LOL

My sister comes in town from Alabama tomorrow and is all like, "Do you have a
Fudrucker's? We HAVE to go eat there. And oh my gosh, you live in Texas, we HAVE to go get some real Mexican food!!!"
Drats!! That is my k
ryptonite. That and chocolate cake.

Oh, and cookie dough.
....and pizza.
Did I mention wine? Holy cow I am in trouble.

On a happier note.....
(which my spouse says I need to focus more on in this journal...
errr...I mean blog)
So.....
What could possibly make Caroline smile like this??
And Lucy cover her nose like this??
And Avery Grace make this face?
Well, Avery decided that she would not be out done by Savannah and wanted to change a diaper.
She almost backed down when she opened it up, but braved it out and continued on.
Caroline thinks all of this is just hysterical!
She usually laughs the whole time. Goofy girl!
We have a band-aid bandit.
They sneak into the pantry and open all the band-aids looking for their favorite design.
How will we ever figure out who this scoundrel is????

Like it was ever a real mystery.
Pa-leaz sista!!!
That Nana is a mess.
She will put band-aids on mosquito bites. Seriously.
BTW, at printing time, she had added one more band-aid to her arm and two on her leg.
Time for an intervention I do think.

What is all of the rage in our house the last couple of weeks??

Trail mix.
This tasty one included: gold fish, peanuts, almonds, Cheetos and strawberries.
See the chunks???
You know your mouth is watering for that combo.

Truth time!
How many of you laughed your butts off last fall when I said I could not wait to have a dog so I would have a clean floor?
Can I just preface this with--Sweet Pea did not shed.
That being said....FOR THE LOVE OF PETE---Golden Retrievers shed like the dickens.
No really, they SHED. In chunks!
I have become obsessed with sweeping my floors.
Lulu is losing her winter coat and it is EVERYWHERE.
We have done this:
Three times.Getting amounts like this:
Every time.
To tell ya the
stinkin' truth, she needs to be done again.
You can stop laughing at me now my fellow Golden owners.

Avery and her bugs and snails.
She loves them!

Caroline is my sweet little doe eyed
porcelain doll.
She has big eyes and a petite nose and dainty mouth.
It is so pretty.
All of our girls have a very different look from each other.
Equally beautiful, but very different.
I forgot to brag on my Jackson.
On his last day of school he got a metal for being magna cum laude.
95 average for the year! Go Jackson, go Jackson, it's your birthday, it's your birthday!
Not bad for his first year in middle school and in a new school.
He also got a certificate for "loyalty".
Not a bad trait to have!!
Guess what?
I feel so honored.
It's nice to know that even a slacker mom like me can get an award.
LOL
I think my middle sister syndrome is coming out.
Not the tallest.
Not the skinniest.
Not the smartest.
Not the oldest.
Not the youngest.
Not the most popular.
Hmmmm.....
I'll save the rest for psychotherapy!!!
Look mom!!!!
I got an award!! :)
